The Grade 7 Critical Writing Project (North Coast) provides teachers, students, schools, and communities with resources, strategies, and relationships to help students learn how to write critically and with rigour.

The aim is to support high expectations for all students, by providing students with supports that can be practically applied – even if this is challenging to do. Developed for Grade 7 students of varying reading and writing levels, the materials are developed to invite all learners to critical thinking and deep advancement in their approaches to writing.

These materials are developed specifically for students in North Coast communities in northern British Columbia. The materials are in the process of development and will be co-developed by teachers and students for relevancy across North Coast communities.

If you are a North Coast teacher or school interested in these resources, or in helping develop materials for your students, please contact Tom Kertes at kertes@criticaleducationproject.ca or 778-884-5343.
