The Grade 7 Critical Writing Project provides teachers, students, schools, and communities with resources, strategies, and relationships to help students learn how to write critically and with rigour.

The aim is to support high expectations for all students, by providing students with supports that can be practically applied – even if this is challenging to do. Developed for Grade 7 students of varying reading and writing levels, the materials are developed to invite learners where they are at to critical thinking and deep advancement in their approaches to writing.

These materials are developed specifically for students in North Coast communities in northern British Columbia. They are in the process of development and will co-developed by teachers and students for relevancy across communities.

If you are a North Coast teacher or school interested in these resources, or in helping develop materials for your students, please contact Tom Kertes at kertes@criticaleducationproject.ca or 778-884-5343.
